Say my name
Salon owner Sam Reyes was given the nickname “Beija” as a young girl. “Beija” means “kiss” in Portuguese. It is also the name of the leading character in her aunt’s favorite soap opera, Dona Beija, which originally aired in Brazil, but was shown in Spanish in the states when Sam was a kid.
